empathy

“When I am around people who are exceedingly difficult, I often ask God to meet the needs in their life that make them act and feel the way they do.

It is a great way to connect with empathy for the person, and realize if they were a genuinely happy and fulfilled person, they could never act the way they do or say the things they say.”

God loves me for who I am

”God loves me for who I am. When I spend time with family. Watching a funny movie. Reading everyones comments of being happy. A friend rangs when you are having a bad day.”

beach and boogie boarding

”Things that make me happy are the beach and going boogie boarding, being skinny, hanging out with friends remembering all the crazy, silly, outragous times together. Being with my fiance when he is extra sweet to me, and when I have accomplished something, and GOD makes me happy!!! There are just so many things that make me happy…”

top ten list

”My top ten list, in no particular order except for #1:

10. Getting on an airplane and having to tighten the seatbelt ‘cos the last passenger was larger than I!

9. Sleeping in.

8. Eating pizza, drinking soda, and watching a movie. Actually, the anticipation is the best part…Just like eating Reese’s PB Cups — mmm mmm good, but my favorite part is right before I take the first bite.

7. Singing.

6. Nice customers at one of my jobs.

5. Phone calls from listeners at the radio station where I work, telling me they are enjoying my show.

4. An awesome outfit that fits the way I want it to.

3. A day off with nothing to do, especially when it is a rainy day.

2. My nieces, talking to me on the phone. How can I resist the infectious happiness of a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old telling me about their day and calling me “Auntie”???

1. GOD!!! :o )”

breathe

“It’s hard to move on with life when everytime you decide to fight some unseen obstacle blocks your path. But the thing to remember is that God never gives you anything more than you and Him cannot handle together. The next time you feel like crap, take a deep breath, get a walk, calm yourself or if you aren’t one of those people, scream at the the top of your voice, cry til you got no more tears left.. the important thing is to rid yourself of the guilt, hurt, shame or whatever it is as soon as possible and move on! Breathing by the grace of God but smiling because your heart chooses to!”
