eating healthy

”OK, I never used to be a health freak. Yet after feeling depressed for a period of about 3 months, a whole winter, I decided I had to take some course of action. I started eating healthy, I kid you not this works. Fatty foods I found made me feel down and depressed. So I went to the nearest grocer and bought 3 packs of Fresh Express salad, one week later I am a happier person, and thoughts I thought were insignificant were the ones I really noticed when I was feeling better. Eat healthy! ”

top ten list

”My top ten list, in no particular order except for #1:

10. Getting on an airplane and having to tighten the seatbelt ‘cos the last passenger was larger than I!

9. Sleeping in.

8. Eating pizza, drinking soda, and watching a movie. Actually, the anticipation is the best part…Just like eating Reese’s PB Cups — mmm mmm good, but my favorite part is right before I take the first bite.

7. Singing.

6. Nice customers at one of my jobs.

5. Phone calls from listeners at the radio station where I work, telling me they are enjoying my show.

4. An awesome outfit that fits the way I want it to.

3. A day off with nothing to do, especially when it is a rainy day.

2. My nieces, talking to me on the phone. How can I resist the infectious happiness of a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old telling me about their day and calling me “Auntie”???

1. GOD!!! :o )”

wine

“The TV off, the stereo also silent, a wine from the Alsace in a coffee mug sitting next to my bowl of peanuts. I am supine on the couch on a Saturday night with my book (Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay) while my son is at my sister’s house and daughter is hanging with friends and I know that I can be anywhere but here is this simplistic or sybaritic and does one need to cancel out the other? I don’t know. I’m happy.”
